Block a Contact from Creating New Messages

In the navigation bar, go to Contacts > Active and select a contact. In the contact details, open the ⋮ (More) menu and choose "Block New Message". The contact will no longer be able to create new messages. However, they can still access past conversations and continue to browse, search, and ask questions in the Knowledge Base.
